Karachi Kings signs Australia’s Dean Jones as head coach

The most followed franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings, has signed Australia’s Dean Jones as the head coach for the upcoming fifth edition of the league.

The owner of the franchise, Mr. Salman Iqbal, met Jones in Dubai to sign a contract with him. The former Australian cricketer was also presented with the official kit of the Kings.

While talking exclusively to ARY News, Jones expressed his excitement over becoming the part of one of the exciting franchise of the only cricketing league of Pakistan.

“It will be a privilege and honor to coach a successful and strong franchise. I am really looking forward to working with such a wonderful team and owners,” Jones.

He is ready to put his experience and hard work to take this franchise over the victory line in the upcoming episode of the extravaganza. “I am confident to bring a brand of cricket while utilizing my experience. I am confident that it will be a good working experience with Mr. Salman and the team,” he said.

It must be noted here that Jones is considered as one of the successful coaches in the PSL as he coached Islamabad United to two victorious seasons of the league. He has played 52 Tests and 164 ODIs for Australia from 1984 to 1994.
