LAHORE: Karachi Kings picked local all-rounder Aamir Jamal in their only pick in the Gold category of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 Player Draft.
The 28-year-old pace-bowling all-rounder has made a significant impact while representing Peshawar Zalmi in the last two seasons of the PSL. Over the span of 14 matches, he has showcased his skills by claiming a total of 14 wickets and scoring 167 runs at an impressive strike rate of 151.81, demonstrating his ability to accelerate the innings.
On the international stage, he has played eight Test matches, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and six Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Pakistan. In his Test career, he has accumulated 352 runs at an average of 27.07, along with taking 21 wickets at an average of 32.85, illustrating his versatility and value as both a bowler and a batsman.
It’s worth noting that Aamir Jamal is the third player in the Gold category for Karachi Kings, joining a talented roster that includes the top-order batter Shan Masood and middle-order explosive batter Mohammad Irfan Khan, both of whom were retained ahead of the draft.
Shan Masood, Kings’ captain, embodies leadership and dedication. His ability to inspire both teammates makes him a natural choice to guide the Kings both as a player and a leader.
Mohammad Irfan Khan, after two impressive seasons as an emerging player, has now ascended to the Gold category. With international cricket experience under his belt, he continues to showcase his potential as a promising talent for the future.
