Karachi: Owner of Karachi Kings Mr. Salman Iqbal said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to find out a window for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5’s knockout stage immediately after ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.
While talking to BBC, the owner of the popular franchise highlighted that most likely the remaining three matches of the PSL 5 (two semi-finals and final) will take place this year.
“It will happen this year, we are looking for the six or seven-day window, predominantly after the world cup (T20) in Australia, I think that will be the best time,” said Mr. Salman.
It must be noted here that the PCB had postponed the knockout stage of their Twenty20 league after a player showed symptoms of COVID-19.
Remember, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars are the semi-finalists teams of the event. Sultans were scheduled to take on Zalmi in first semi-final whereas Kings were to play Qalandars for the first time at the knockout stage.
