The fourth edition of Pakistan Super League is scheduled to take place from February 14 to March 17th next year which is going to be more exciting, thrilling and entertaining as all the six teams are gearing up to show their strength in the upcoming season of the league.
Karachi Kings seem to have done fair bit of research ahead of the fourth season of the league as they have made some decisions that can be game-changers for them.
The biggest and the most popular franchises of PSL, Karachi Kings, made a fine decision by taking ‘Sultan of Swing’ Wasim Akram on board as the team director of the team. Remember, Karachi Kings have the services of two of most talented left-arm pacers of Pakistan, Mohammad Amir and Usman Shinwari, what can be better for the pair than to learn tricks of the trade from the greatest left-arm pacer of all time.
Karachi Kings have gone for a number of all-rounders, which include both local talent and foreigners.
The side is led by Pakistan’s promising all-rounder Imad Wasim who had taken the charge as the skipper of the Kings in the previous season. He will have high hopes to give his best in the upcoming season. The southpaw had made an exceptional comeback in international cricket. He must be feeling confident ahead of the league and his confidence can help him with his captaincy.
Moreover, the No. 1 T20I batsman Babar Azam cannot be overlooked who is also retained by Karachi Kings and can be the nightmare for any bowling side. Taking the point forward, the Kings will also have New Zealand’s aggressive left-handed batsman batting in the top order of the team. His brutal power-hitting will compliment Babar Azam’s elegance brilliantly. The opening combination can be the best among the six participating teams.
In the last three seasons, Karachi Kings were unlucky to not to reach to the finals. However, this time the squad looks fairly balanced with powerful batting line in the likes of Babar Azam, Colin Ingram, Colin Munro, Ravi Bopara and Sikander Raza. Whereas, the bowling line looks much competent with Mohammad Amir, Usman Shinwari, Aaron Summers, Imad Wasim and Usama Mir in the arsenal.
The squad looks promising, they have a well-equipped batting department, followed by a destructive bowling-line, which is backed by a decent bunch of all-rounders. The five other teams would be wary of Karachi Kings’ potential in the upcoming season.
