Karachi: Karachi Kings is ready to come out of grooves this time at home when they take on arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars on March 12 at National Stadium.
Both the teams have already played a match in this year’s PSL which was won by Qalandars but Kings look strong to bounce back as they conducted a three hours long training session on Wednesday.
Confident Kings under the guidance of their head coach Dean Jones did batting, bowling and fielding sessions to make a strong strategy to take revenge from the opponent. While holding a big whiteboard in his hand, Jones was roaming all around the park and going to the players individually to discuss the game plan for tomorrow.
Captain Imad Wasim also showed immense confidence during the pre-match presser and said that Kings haven’t played their ‘A’ game yet. “Our team performed strongly throughout the event. We have played our ‘B’ game so far and things are under control. We are confident to make it to the playoffs and later win the trophy,” he said.
The skipper accepted that they weren’t up to the mark in the last match but is optimistic to make a strong comeback. “I know we lost the winning momentum but you can’t write off Karachi Kings,” he added.
It must be noted here that Kings are currently settled at the fifth spot on the points table with seven points in as many matches. They still have three round matches left against Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators.
