Karachi Kings co-owner Shayaan Salman has expressed confidence in the team ahead of their upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 fixture against Islamabad United.

In a post on X, Shayaan attributed the team’s back-to-back defeats to injuries and illness within the squad.

“Karachi family, i know its sucks to lose, but don’t lose hope. We got unlucky in the last 2 matches with injury and sickness, but this is just something that is apart of sport,” he wrote.

He also reiterated his belief in the team’s title prospects.

“As i’ve said many times already, this trophy is ours inshallah, the story has already been written, we just have to believe it for it to come true,” he added.

Karachi Kings began their campaign on a strong note, securing victories in their first three matches. They defeated Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs before registering a four-wicket win over Lahore Qalandars.

They then extended their winning run with a five-wicket victory against Rawalpindiz.

However, the 2020 champions have since suffered consecutive defeats, losing to Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
