Karachi, 18 April 2025 – Kings’ star fast bowler and vice-captain Hasan Ali carved his name into the record books on Friday, becoming the highest wicket-taker in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history during the team’s emphatic win over Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Stadium.

The experienced right-arm pacer achieved the milestone by dismissing Hasan Nawaz for just one run, registering his 114th PSL wicket and surpassing the previous record held by Wahab Riaz (113 wickets).

What makes Hasan’s achievement even more impressive is that he reached the landmark in just 83 innings—four fewer than Wahab, who took 87 innings to reach his tally.

After another stellar performance in Friday’s fixture, Hasan’s wicket tally now stands at 116 wickets in 84 innings, placing him firmly at the top of the league’s all-time list.

Top 5 All-Time Wicket-Takers in PSL:

  • Hasan Ali – 116 wickets in 84 innings

  • Shaheen Shah Afridi – 108 wickets in 74 innings

  • Shadab Khan – 97 wickets in 87 innings

The 30-year-old pacer has been in superb rhythm throughout the HBL PSL 10 season. After a slightly expensive start against Multan Sultans (1/44), Hasan bounced back with a match-winning spell of 4/28 against Lahore Qalandars, followed by another clinical performance (3/27) against Quetta Gladiators.

His efforts with the ball played a vital role in Karachi Kings’ 56-run win, marking their second victory of the tournament.
