Lahore, 11 February 2026: Karachi Kings bolstered their squad with a mix of firepower and experience ahead of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, adding Johnson Charles, Muhammad Waseem, and Ihsanullah to strengthen both departments.
West Indies batter Johnson Charles brings a wealth of experience to the side. The explosive right-hander, currently representing his national team at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, was acquired for PKR 2 crore.
UAE captain Muhammad Waseem further enhances the Kings’ top order with his aggressive strokeplay. He was signed for PKR 1.1 crore.
The pace attack received a significant boost with the inclusion of Ihsanullah, whose raw speed has the potential to unsettle opposition batters. He was roped in for PKR 1.05 crore.
The 2020 champions also secured Rizwanullah for a base price of PKR 60 lakh to stack up their squad.
Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa is also set for his maiden HBL PSL appearance, having never previously featured in the tournament. Currently representing Australia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Zampa was picked up for PKR 4.5 crore to spearhead the spin department.
The bowling unit also features Mir Hamza, who continues his long-standing association with the franchise. The 33-year-old left-arm pacer was secured for PKR 2.4 crore.
Prior to the PSL 11 Player Auction, Karachi Kings retained a strong core comprising Hasan Ali (Platinum), Mohammad Abbas Afridi (Diamond), Khushdil Shah (Gold), and Saad Baig (Emerging). The franchise further strengthened its squad through the direct signing of England all-rounder Moeen Ali.
