“Starting Pakistan Super League is a great initiative by Pakistan Cricket Board and it is well received everywhere.”

“Since the tournament has big names like Kevin Pietersen, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson and Shakibal Hasan, they would inspire young Pakistani cricketers.

“Their presence will be great inspiration for the youngsters. The cricket-mad country can unearth new Imran Khans, Javed Miandads, Wasim Akrams, Waqar Younises and last but not the least Shahid Afridis.

He added that the tournament will promote the soft image of Pakistan and he is hopeful that in the future the league will take place in Pakistan which will be a real boost for the country.

“It is the best platform to groom players and attract them to healthy activities. The PSL may help to solve the terror-related problems in Pakistan.”

There will be nothing like that if Pakistan solves security issues and stage a tournament like this at home side. It will be a real boost to the game in the country.”
